"You make movies for the big screen, sitcoms for TV, and something else entirely for the Internet. That's the lesson of Lonelygirl15." - Mesh Flinders, Wired

Independent, episodic content arrived on the internet in 2006 with Lonelygirl15, a groundbreaking experimentation in form and distribution strategy centered around a shy, homeschooled girl video-blogging from her bedroom. Mesh Flinders, the show’s creator and current Made in NY Media Center by IFP Artist-in-Residence, will recount the path that took his bare-bones series from obscurity to breakout hit that garnered more than 60 million views in only three months. Flinders will also discuss the constantly-changing landscape that all web content must contend with, how branding can play an integral part in the production process, and his current commercial work for Euro RSCG/Havas Worldwide Digital.
