Podcasts will be selected to pitch, and evaluated for prizes, based on:

  • Creative use of the medium
  • Engaging content with a strong focus/mission
  • Clear, sustainable format and potential for growth

We welcome podcasts of all kinds: politics, science, pop culture, fictional storytelling, wacky comedy, serious history… no restrictions on content or form, so long as it’s engaging, creative, and with a solid premise/focus.

Only amateur/independent/DIY podcasts will be considered. Submissions must send one finished podcast episode for consideration. Additionally, no more than one “season” of your podcast can be publicly available on any platform. There are no restrictions on length per episode, but please note submissions will be selected based on only ONE submitted episode. Pilot works-in-progress will not be considered.

While both our selection committee and our jury will keep an ear out for podcasts with noteworthy, clean production values, submissions need not be professionally produced or polished. Ultimately, content, purpose, and potential are the top criteria.

If selected, projects will be asked to prepare a short, visual pitch deck for the Pitch Night. Pitch decks may include audio samples and video clips/trailer. All pitches must be five minutes in length.
