Kiera has almost a decade of experience as a human rights organizer in the United States and abroad. She later returned to Oman as a Visiting Research Fellow and Guest Lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University to research the relationship between folklore and nationhood, which became the foundation for her documentary Dates for Coffee. Lewis worked as a consultant to the United Nations Human Rights Committee and later transitioned into the film industry on films including Carol, Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives, and Hail, Caesar! Lewis is currently launching a boutique production company called Critical Findings, designed to transform the cultural landscape through global media and works as a producer on feature films, documentaries, and web series.
