Leo Kuelbs Collection and the Made in NY Media Center by IFP are proud to present Trips, a video program exploring extreme shifts in time, place and experience. A group show featuring psychedelic POV work from a variety of artists based in NYC and throughout the world, Trips opens doors and places the viewer at the threshold of a number of different worlds – natural and otherwise.
Featuring new and existing work by TG Noise (Budapest), Joao Vasco Piava (Shanghai/Lisbon), Karl Erickson (Brooklyn), Thomas D. Rotenberg (Brooklyn), Vadim Schaeffler (Berlin), Ryan Uzilevsky (Brooklyn)
Trips is the first half of two art events supported by Leo Kuelbs Collection on the evening of Thursday, September 3rd. Enjoy free wine and beer at the Made in NY Media Center's Digital Media Arts Gallery from 6-9 pm, then head over to the second half of evening at the Manhattan Bridge Archway (Pearl and Anchorage Place) for the latest installment of Manhattan Bridge Video Art Projections.
LIGHT YEAR 5: “Chimera Presents…” is a thirty minute loop of some of the best works collected by Budapest’s “Chimera Project,” an organization supporting and distributing video artists and their work. Plus, you can enjoy a drink or two under the archway at the Lighthouse Bar, open until 9.30 pm.
This is the perfect opportunity to see an array of great video art and enjoy the Brooklyn evening in two gorgeous settings.
