Taking place from September 17th – 22nd during IFP’s signature event, IFP Film Week, the Screen Forward Conference features public programming, panels, and the opportunity to meet with today’s most exciting independent filmmakers, content creators, and industry leaders.
Creators get funding, advice, and opportunities. Industry insiders get to discover new talent and ideas. The public gets to screen cutting-edge work. It’s a space where doors open, info is exchanged, and everybody gets creative.
The first wave of Conference programming includes special appearances from Academy Award winner Laura Poitras (CITIZENFOUR), actress and activist Rose McGowan, Rebecca Hall and Antonio Campos (of the upcoming Christine), Ezra Edelman (O.J.: Made in America),comedian and podcaster Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens), Refinery29 CCO Amy Emmerich in conversation with writer and comedian Jacqueline Novak, and case studies of 2016 hits Weiner, The Fits, Hello, My Name is Doris, and The Witch, with more programming to be announced in the coming weeks.
