WebVR, a new JavaScript API that uses existing web technologies to create interactive VR experiences that work across ALL devices, is being integrated into Google Chrome as we speak and is poised to take off next year. Now's the time to start experimenting with the future of VR development.

Brian Chirls, CTO of Datavized Technologies and creator of the WebVR Starter Kit, will present an introduction to how anyone can build VR experiences using a web browser. Brian will be joined by Debra Anderson, Datavized Technologies Chief Strategy Officer: This primer workshop will feature an overview of A-Frame, rapid prototyping VR in the browser, and other tools and resources as well as live tutorials, demonstrations and prototype applications.

Participants will gain an understanding of the fundamentals, motivations, and technical components to building the Immersive Web.  The class explains the building blocks of the Virtual Reality web providing support for virtual-reality devices to web apps, enabling developers to create virtual-reality experiences that run on any WebGL-enabled browser. By visiting a website, you can experience interactive 360° and VR environments on mobile, desktop or VR headsets including Oculus Rfit, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR, or Google Cardboard.

In this workshop you will learn:
