STARTS APRIL 4   |   3 CONSECUTIVE TUESDAYS

Writing for online channels is an art. A powerful headline can trigger hundreds of clicks and shares, even when the web is so visual! From blogging to search engine optimization to influencer marketing, writing on the web is so much more than GIFs and photos. In today’s web, writing is the #word.

In this class, you’ll gain an overview of brand identity, learn how to create compelling content across platforms, how to engage an audience, and drive a conversation to inspire action for your business or project.

If you want to learn more about the class format, if you have questions about basic skills you might need to use, or if you want to learn more about the specifics of the course, please contact Derrick Foust at dfoust@nymediacenter.com.

About the instructor

Stan Spring

Stan Spring

Stan finds that the most effective copy entails hard work and an intent focus on quality. Trouble is, what defines quality isn’t always so clear. It depends on your goals, your audience, the medium, and many other factors.

With nearly a decade of experience writing and editing in NYC, Stan’s approach to craft is all about understanding quality. For example, as the Senior Copywriter at MakerBot, he serves many different goals of the business by writing for many different formats. He’s just as at home with crisp short-form copy as well as longer tech-savvy storytelling.

Before MakerBot, he first started his career in publishing, then later worked his way up to Writing Trainer and Editor in the web department at B&H Photo Video.
