How do humans and technology interact with one another? And what effect does this have on our culture and the world around us? Those are the questions being asked in Human Meets Technology, the new exhibition that we are co-curating with EyeEm. The human/machine line is blurring – the gap between the two is only getting smaller – and it is time to celebrate this in all its terrifying, fascinating beauty. Scroll down to find out more!
Your Mission: We want to see just how much technology is changing the way we do things, from the way we live, work, and communicate with the world around us, to how we see, feel, and hear. Capture the human/technology relationship to enter this call for entries.
We want to see photos that encapsulate the space where human-meets-machine, and where human capability is extended (or compromised) through technology. Looking for inspiration? Check out this curated album of future images!
Your Reward: The best photographs will be displayed in our June exhibition! The selected photographs will be configured for display in our Media Arts Gallery, with full credits back to the photographers who took them, and celebrated during an opening reception for the NYC digital art community. The photos will also be shared in an EyeEM image collection.
How to Take Part: Simply make an EyeEm account and upload your photo, tagging “Human Meets Technology.” You can find more information here.
Deadline to apply: May 2nd, 2016.
