HP to Host POWER UP, a Five Day Celebration of NY Creativity

WHAT: POWER UP, a five-day festival of inspiring presentations celebrating innovators at the intersection of creativity and technology.

The Made in NY Media Center by IFP is excited to be a presenting partner of the POWER UP festival with HP. Check out evening screenings at the Media Center Thursday, September 25 & Friday, September 26, and our panel, “Tools for Thought” on Saturday, September 27. Plus, live demos of the new HP Z Workstation – the latest benefit for IFP Media Center members.

WHERE:
Programming for POWER UP will take place at 449 W 14th Street at Milk Studios in downtown Manhattan and evening screenings at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

WHO:
All sessions are open to the creative community, including inspired creators, producers and professionals in architecture, design, film, music, gaming and more.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Through unique programming featuring leading production houses, animation studios, music studios, architecture firms and others, POWER UP will showcase how HP Z Workstations allow creatives to use the power of technology to break boundaries.

Participate in hands-on workstation demos Thursday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP (30 John St. DUMBO, Brooklyn).

POWER UP brings together artists, musicians, gamers and other influencer creatives to collaborate, connect, create and celebrate community through key note speakers, workshops and demonstrations that build awareness for how HP Z Workstation technology takes their work to the next level. This series of events is an opportunity to engage with these professionals and discover amazing technology-enabled creativity.

Programming highlights:
Tuesday: POWER UP! Join us and kick off our weeklong events with a launch party, including a killer performance by musician Luke James. Curated by Blast Off Studios, creative project debut by MADE Fashion Week.

Wednesday: PUSHING BOUNDARIES > Workshops with RED cameras, a maker showcase of interactive and animation with META Agency, and a keynote from DreamWorks Animation with Kate Swanborg.

Thursday: DO, PLAY, SEE > Come meet our HP Ambassadors and hear more on the creative projects powered by HP, Gamer Thu Tran presents Pasta Shooter, and explore The Satellite an experiential, photo-realistic portrait of Earth with artists Dana Karwas and Gabriel Winer.

Friday: DISCOVER & BUILD: ART & DESIGN IN NYC > Sessions include a keynote from renowned architect Daniel Libeskind delivers and a panel on Technology and Public Art Installation presented by Lightbox.
